Elementary School Visits / Library Visits

Kinder - 2nd (Approximately 45 minutes)
When I visit a school, I start by telling students a little about myself and showing them a bunch of messy sketches (to show the process), references, and a peak into my studio.

Next, I read my story aloud and we have fun spotting the Spanish words sprinkled throughout my book.

I end it with a fun craft inspired by the story. My biggest hope is that the kids leave feeling excited about art, storytelling, and maybe even think, “Hey, I could be an illustrator one day too!” What the visit includes:

• Meet a real children’s illustrator (that’s me!)

• See messy sketches, references, and behind the scenes artwork

• Enjoy a read aloud and hopefully learn a new Spanish word or two

• Make a story inspired craft

• Q & A/ Book Signing
